MedInfo 2023 delves into genomic data management

23rd May, 2023

Genomic datasets are huge, complex, difficult to share and come with their own privacy issues. Can the digital health system manage them effectively?

Dr Natalie Thorne addresses this challenge head-on at MedInfo23, one of the world’s premier digital health events.

On Saturday 8 July, Dr Thorne joins a panel of experts to discuss the reuse of genomic data in healthcare. The panel will unpack the challenges of sharing data across boundaries, the difference between clinical and research uses of data, and the sovereign right of healthcare consumers to decide when and why their data is used.

Then on Monday 10 July, Dr Thorne will talk about the value of ‘shared plumbing’ that enables genomic information to be passed efficiently between health systems and laboratories.

#MediInfo23 runs from 8-12 July 2023 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney. Find out more and secure your spot.
